This Block of the Month uses patterns from "Pieces From my Heart" by Sandy Gervais. Its simple to make and each block features a variety of familiar images, the embroidery floss, linen backgrounds and buttons are all included. When its completed, the resulting 40" by 62" quilt is striking! |

Please Note: We used our own colors to create our own unique quilt - we do not follow the background colors suggested in the patterns, and we don't include the 13th pattern (which is mention in some of the early patterns). To finish our quilt, we border each block of month with a 2 1/2" plaid strip provided each month and sew the 1st row together, then the second etc, until we got all the rows sewn together - then we matched seams and sewed the columns together. We used the extra embroidery floss to tie the quilt in the corners of each blocks. You need 2 1/4 yards of fabric for backing and 1/3 yard for binding (this isn't included). Let me know if you need a back I still have some of the plaids left that were used to border each month. |
